Cash for College Fund

Ocean 98 is your community station. One of our many missions is helping students in the pursuit of a college education through our Cash for College Fund.

Three area high school seniors will each be awarded $5,000 to be used for college tuition or to purchase books as they pursue a college education. Winners will be selected based on grades, activities and application essay.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be a high school senior
• Must be a resident of Worcester County, MD, Wicomico County, MD or Sussex County, DE
• Be a well-rounded student leader who is active in their school and community
• Can have any major; there are no college major requirements to apply

INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICATION:

1. All required materials, including application and essay, must be submitted no later than the deadline.
2. Only completed application form (if handwritten, please print legibly) with typed essays will be considered. DO NOT LEAVE ANY ITEMS BLANK.

Deadline for the application is April 30. Winners will being announced in June and will be asked to come to the Ocean 98 studio at Seacrets and appear on Bulldog and The Rude Awakening Show. Thank you and good luck!

ESSAY:

On a separate sheet of paper, please type your essay and submit it with this application.

Essay Theme: “Tell Us About Yourself”

Also include a short autobiography of the student applying, including family and work experience, community involvement, hobbies, spare time activities and what their hopes and goals are for the future.
